Apple has announced and released a newAirTagstracker app for Android calledTracker Detect. This has been done to resolve one of the privacy issues inadvertently introduced with AirTags earlier this year — the ability to track someone without their knowledge. Once it was installed and a scan was initiated, the app was able to highlight unknown AirTag trackers nearby, essentially revealing the location of strangers and opening the door for planting an AirTag on someone without their knowledge to keep tabs on them....

Apple launched free repair programs for a pair of hardware issues involving the iPhone X and the 13-inch MacBook Pro with no Touch Bar. The repair programs, which were firstspottedby Bloomberg on Apple’s support pages, focus on the iPhone X’s display module and the MacBook Pro’s solid-state drive. Apple said that some iPhone X units have been experiencing problems with the touchscreen, specifically that the display does not respond, or intermittently responds, to the user’s touch....

When it comes to zero-emission vehicles, the conversation usually swings between batteries and hydrogen fuel cells. But Australian-Israeli startupElectriq-Globalbelieves there is a third way. The startup is touting a water-based fuel it claims will offer zero emissions with a lower cost and greater range than current battery or fuel cell tech. Electriq’s fuel is 60 percent water, and releases hydrogen when it reacts with an onboard catalyst. That hydrogen is what actually powers the car....
