Best Wylder build in Elden Ring Nightreign
Wylder is Elden Ring Nightreign’s jack of all tradescharacter class, able to effectively utilize all forms of combat while being a master of none — but knowing how to best build him is still essential.
Almost any loot you find in Limveld, from magic staves and seals to bows and melee weapons, can be added to Wylder’s bag of tricks, making him an extremely flexible member of any team able to adapt on the fly.

With that said, however, his abilities and attribute scaling synergize best with a frontline attacker approach. If your group contains a support character like Guardian or Revenant, Wylder is free to go full send on offence, able to dish out massive damage, and create windows for his teammates to do the same.

How to play Wylder
If you’ve ever been partial toQuality buildsin Elden Ring or Souls games, you’ll already be well aware of how Wylder plays in Nightreign.
Strength, Dexterity, HP, and Stamina are his highest-scaling attributes, meaning he can effectively use almost any melee weapon you find around Limveld.Greatswords, however, have a unique moveset when wielded by him, providing the perfect balance between speed, power, and range.

While his main skill,Claw Shot, eliminates some of the need to rely on ranged combat, it’s worth keeping a bow on-hand for enemies at extreme long range. Otherwise, Wylder is a no-nonsense frontline attacker who follows the ‘best defence is a good offence’ mantra.

Best weapons for Wylder
As Wyldergains unique benefits from using Greatswords, you should always be prioritizing the weapon type when looting chests and enemies in Limveld. At base, Greatswords have C-scaling in Strength and D-scaling in Dexterity, allowing Wylder to double-dip on damage increases.
While loot is somewhat random in Nightreign, the longer you survive, the better loot you’ll find. There’s no guarantee you’ll find a specific Greatsword on any given Expedition, but these are what you should be on the lookout for.
