TheFire Knight’s GreatswordinElden Ringis a flaming Colossal weapon that is not only quite fun to use but can also be lethal. It is a weapon that can be fairly easy to get your hands on compared to others in theShadow of the Erdtree DLCand can easily be your main weapon if you choose. Players who want to wave a flaming sword bigger than they are should definitely consider this as a prime option for their build if they can.
There are manynew weapon types inShadow of the Erdtree, and many of them can cause a lot of trouble for your enemies. This is also true with the Fire Knight’s Greatsword, and it should be noted that this weapon causes quite a lot of damage all at once. Depending on how you upgrade it, you can lean even heavier into the Fire Damage and set your foes ablaze whenever you see fit.

10 Hardest Bosses In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree, Ranked By Difficulty
Shadow of the Erdtree is full of difficult bosses, but this set of 10 takes that to another level, posing extreme challenges for the Tarnished.
How To Get The Fire Knight’s Greatsword
Into The Shadow Keep
To get the Fire Knight’s Greatsword, you will have to progress throughShadow of the Erdtree’s mapor through the story enough to unlock the Shadow Keep andfind the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace.
This will allow you to access the best farming location for this weapon, and the Shadow Keep, in general, is the only known location for being able to obtain it. Once inside, this Site of Grace will allow you tokill and respawn the right enemy type to get the weaponyou want - in this case, the Fire Knight’s Greatsword.

If youhead down the elevator behind the Site of Grace, you will come face to face with a Fire Knight, as seen in the video byArekkz Gaming. With it being so close to the Site of Grace, you canquickly defeat and respawn this Fire Knight until it drops the Greatsword. Arekkz Gaming suggests there’s no real suggestion as to how long this might take at the current time, but it took them about 13 minutes.
You can also use items to increase your chance of seeing this loot drop faster by using things like theSilver Tear Mask, the Silver Scarab Talisman, or one-use consumables like theSilver-Pickled Fowl Foot. It is up to you how worth the resources are for lowering the time you might have to spend farming.

Now that you have the sword in hand, it is time to delve into the Sword’s stats and how to use it effectively.
How To Use The Fire Knight’s Greatsword
Stats, Skills, & Special Effects
This Colossal Sword has a lot of things going for it, particularly for those with aStrength/Faith build. This means you should be able to do a fair amount of damage even before it is fully upgraded, but you can make this quite lethal if you upgrade it in theFlame pathto do even more fire damage.
You will need aStrength of 22to wield this weapon one-handed, a Dexterity score of 18, and a Faith score of 12. The weapon starts out scaling evenly with all of them, but this will change based on what upgrade path you choose to utilize. Additionally, you will needSmithing Stonesto get the upgrades, which can be found relatively commonly across the world map. This can make upgrading easier than most other new weapons in the DLC, adding to its value.

As you’re able to see, thescaling can vary quite a lot by upgrade path, and the chart above represents two options. There are quite a few more, and if you go an Arcane route, you caneven add Arcane Scaling, making the upgraded version better for different builds if you invested more in Arcane than you did in Faith or Strength. However, the baseline stats are nothing to scoff at, as you can see in the chart below:

There are a lot of different directions to take this sword, but taking theFlame route certainly enhances its aestheticand leans into the nature of the sword. This can be a great way to stay true to the weapon’s lore, and it grants you254 Physical damage and around 320 Fire damageas its baseline potential. This can be fantastic for someone trying to light the world on fire. However, the baseline stats for level 25 are good as well, which you can see in the table below:

Compared to others, the best thing about this sword, like theAnvil Hammer inElden Ring, is that it is also a Colossal Weapon thatcannot be equipped with a new Ash of War. This can make it easier to customize your sword. Additionally, using a Flame-based Ash of War significantlyincreases the armament’s power,as it has an ability built into it that allows it to do so. It comes naturally with theStampskill equipped, which is not nearly as effective as using a Flame-based Ash of War.
Using the extra Flame potential on this weapon is crucial, and it will allow you to be well on your way to weaving a path of destruction through the rest of the DLC. You should be well set to conquer the Shadow Realm and find answers in the usual vague way that Souls-borne games deliver them. You will be wielding a massive, flaming Colossal Fire Knight’s Greatsword inElden Ringand look fantastic.
