Five Nights At Freddy’sfans should mark their calendars for August 1, as the franchise celebrates its 10th anniversary. What once started as an indie point-and-click survival horror game in 2014 has gone on to be a major franchise, spawning 21 video games, with 10 main games, 7 spin-offs, and 4 official “troll games”, 50 books, a horror maze attraction on the Las Vegas Strip, and a movie, which has a sequel on the way.
The officialFive Nights At Freddy’s X account, developer ScottGames is planning an eight-day celebration to mark the occasion, stating that there had been “a lot of work happening behind the scenes to make it a very special event.”
The celebration will begin on August 1st, and will run until August 8,with a new announcement on each day.

New Games And Collaborations Have Been Teased
In a follow-up post, theFive Nights At Freddy’saccount shared the full line-up for the eight days, with a wealth of new game releases and other content. Among these are a demo for the remake ofThe Joy of Creation, which launches on August 2nd, as well as full game releases ofMyPopgoesandInto the Pit. There is also a free interactive novel launching on August 3rd, and the potential for movie updates “sprinkled in” as well throughout the week. Steel Wool, the studio that made titles such as the VR gameFive Nights At Freddy’s: Help Wantedand its sequel, as well as the survival horror stealth titleFive Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach, will also be announcing something on August 4th.
The one that has garnered the most attention from eagle-eyed fans is themystery collaboration announcement on August 6. Many have pointed out thatFortnite- which is known for its various guest characters from across popular IPs - also has an update on August 6th, and it wouldn’t be too out of place to include some kind ofFive Nights at Freddy’sevent with characters from the franchise appearing.

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a multimedia horror franchise created by Scott Cawthon that began with the first entry in the video game series, Five Nights at Freddy’s. The core story of the franchise focuses on a pizza franchise known as “Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza,” a kid-friendly entertainment center with animatronic hosts. The stores are closed when the animatronics begin to go berserk, slaying some of their guests. However, for most entries, a security guard is tasked with observing them at night, completely unaware of the horrible history behind the mysterious, murderous robots.
