Hero Fiennes Tiffin Will Play The Titular Role
Fiennes is best known for playing Shakespeare in the filmShakespeare in Love. His more recent work includes roles inThe Handmaid’s Tale,The Mother, andThe Witch Farm.McElhone made a name for herself inCalifornication, playing Karen Van Der Beek for seven seasons from 2007 to 2014. Her recent work includes parts inHalo,The Crown, andBetter Things. Both Fiennes and McElhone bring a diverse and stellar acting background toYoung Sherlock, boding well for the strength of the series' performances.
Fiennes and McElhone join aYoung Sherlockcastthat isled by Hero Fiennes Tiffin. Tiffin got his start inHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Princeas young Tom Riddle, and went on to play in theAfterseries. The actor also worked with Ritchie previously inThe Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which came out this year.
