Invincible Season 3 Episode 8 title may be hiding a Dinosaurus clue

Mark is set to go up against Conquest inInvincible Season 3Episode 8 – and, going by the finale’s title, there’s a chance we could see Dinosaurus.

Last week’sInvinciblewas one of the biggest episodes the show has ever done. It adapted the Invincible War arc, withAngstrom Levysending nearly 20 alternate Mark Graysons to the main timeline to wreak havoc and tarnish Invincible’s name.

It didn’t go well for him (or anyone, really). As the episode drew to a close, one of the show’s most anticipated villains finally arrived: Conquest, one of the most ruthless Viltrumites in the comics.

Obviously, everyone is most excited to seeInvincible vs Conquest– but Episode 8 still needs to wrap up the season and tease what’s to come, and that could involve Dinosaurus.

Invincible Season 3 Episode 8 title is a Dinosaurus Easter egg

Invincible Season 3 Episode 8 is called ‘I Thought You’d Never Shut Up.’ This is what Invincible says toDinosauruswhen they first meet in Issue #68 of the comic.

If you’re new to the comics, Dinosaurus is the villainous, monstrous counterpart David Anders, who has a habit of transforming into a huge humanoid dinosaur. When he’s in his normal form, David doesn’t have any evil or corrupt aspirations – but Dinosaurus is incredibly dangerous, believing Earth effectively needs to purge itself in order to survive.

For example, in the wake of Invincible’s fight against Conquest, Dinosaurus says the “devastation worldwide… was the best thing that could have happened to us.”

Dinosaurus explains how Mark “brought about the death of millions” by trying to save the world. After a lot of monologuing, he takes a swipe at Invincible, who reacts, “Finally, I thought you’d never shut up!”

Other episode titles have pulled quotes from relevant moments in the comics, so Dinosauruscouldappear. However, given the Conquest fight takes place betweenIssues #61-64and it’s the finale, it’s hard to see how the last episode could cover an extra four issues within a normal runtime.

Invincible Season 4 should adapt one of the comic’s darkest moments with Dinosaurus

Also, Episode 7 set a new precedent with its ‘What Have I Done?’ title. That line comes from Cecil in the comics – only he says it in Issue #50 when he activates the failsafe alarm in Mark’s head and the ReAnimen try to kill him.

“The title is a line from Mark’s first Dinosaurus encounter, but the thumbnail looks like it’s from the Conquest fight, so I’m not too worried. The line also kinda makes sense here with all of Conquest’s monologuing,” one fanspeculated.

“This basically is immediately after in the comics, so this is accurate. This isn’t Vegas, this is when Dinosaurus is introduced, but not when he becomes a threat,” another wrote. “Idk maybe a temporary title to throw us off?? Kind of doubt it though since most people probably already know about the C-Man,” a third commented.
