It may be one thing to look like a character, but H_drargyrum elevates this idea. Her presentation of Homura – sitting on the ground with a distant look – feels intimate, like the character is being seen in secret. The lighting is also an interesting choice, giving the model a paler complexion that also emphasizes the darkness around the eyes. Besides contrasting well with the dark clothing and black wig, it alsolends Homura a vulnerable, brooding aura, which, under the veneer of a composed veteranthe character affects in the anime, matches the girl’s persona to a tee.
The red ribbon is a nice touch, providing both a bright color and a connection to the eponymous Madoka herself. The background’s industrial elements allude to the anime’s setting of Mitakihara City, while the metal railing behind the model adds some appropriate visual flair, given the anime’s love of abstract shapes.
