Ultron in Marvel Rivals

Here’s everything you need to know about how Ultron works in Marvel Rivals before you head into the match.

Ultron’s weapon in Marvel Rivals

Ultron’s primary weapon is a laser beam that has infinite range and deals continuous damage while firing, ending with a burst of damage.

However, damage falls off the farther you are from your target, so it rewards good aim and mid-range positioning. The reload time is long, so learning how to cancel it using abilities is essential for maximizing uptime.

Marvel Rivals Ultron

Primary: Encephalo-Ray

Fires a laser that deals consistent damage over time and finishes with a burst; has infinite range with falloff at distance and a long reload animation.

Ultron’s abilities and Ultimate

Ultron plays a slower, more methodical style of support. He doesn’t rely on burst healing or fast pace combat. Instead, he brings constant value over time, and his real strength lies in how well you can manage his cooldowns and positioning.

Ultimate: Rage of Ultron

Summons multiple Ultron drones that bombard the area with blasts that both heal allies and damage enemies. It heals allies for up to 500 health per second, making it one of the strongest healing tools in the game.

This team-up ability activates withIron Man. It upgrades Encephalo-Ray to Nano Ray, so it pierces and heals or damages

Tips to play Ultron in Marvel Rivals

Ultron isn’t a fast-paced support, but he rewards players who can manage cooldowns and positioning with some of the most consistent healing in the game.

A good starting habit is to attach your healing drone to your frontliner at the beginning of fights so you can hit multiple teammates at once with AoE healing and build ultimate charge faster.

Characters in Marvel Rivals

During fights, keep an eye on low-health allies and move the drone to them when needed, but try to return it to the center of the team to maintain wide healing coverage.

One of the most important things to learn is how to cancel Ultron’s long reload animation using either a melee attack or, preferably, by moving the drone to another ally. This trick dramatically reduces downtime and can keep you alive in high-pressure moments.

Keep in mind that his dash is your only true escape tool, so you should only play aggressively when it’s available. Since the cooldown only starts after the seven-second speed buff ends, it’s effectively a 15-second window, and you’ll need to time it well.

Flying too high might seem safe, but it reduces the effective area of your drone’s healing and the shielding from Firewall, so you’ll get the most value staying closer to the ground.

Ultron’s ultimate is best used as a team-saving tool, not a kill button. While it can damage enemies, the real value comes from its overwhelming healing output, which can outheal many enemy ultimates.
