It’s going to unfold, as you know, and I don’t want to give s–t away. I don’t know if I can, I don’t know what the protocol is, but it’s a fascinating adventure. We’re wrapped up in the intricacies of human emotion and I am fascinated. I grew up in a prison town and, you’d see a serial killer be arrested when I was a kid, where I grew up in Vancouver, and you’re kind of aware of it and the horror of this psychopath. And then, in the next minute, you realize they’re shipped to your town and now they live a mile from your house.

I’ve always been fascinated with this element and Taylor [Sheridan] has and everybody involved in this show. There’s a darkness that is fascinating and this character kind of embodies all of those elements of kind of an old charming psychopath. I’m just hesitant to give anything away, because I’ve gotten s–t for that before. That’s just the politics of making it. But I mean, it’s a great season. It’s the velocity and the intricacies of these characters and what Renner does with them, it’s all fascinating.

How Does Konstantin Raise The Stakes For Mayor Of Kingstown Season 3

Milo proved to be a formidable, elusive villain throughout the first twoMayor of Kingstownseasons, escaping from prison during the riots, and going on to menace Mike and Iris (Emma Laird) throughout season 2. TheMayor of Kingstownseason 2finale saw Milo apparently meeting his demise in a boat explosion, and season 3 not only confirmed that he’s indeed dead, but explained how he met his fate, revealing that Tatiana sold him out to Konstantin, who arranged for his death.

That Konstantin was able to out-fox Milo and remove him from the picture made him seem dangerous already. But the dark and psychopathic nature of the character, as hinted at by Dillon in his new remarks, was revealed when he coldly and ruthlessly shot Tatiana down in the most shocking moment fromMayor of Kingstownseason 3, episode 1. That moment helped establish the new stakes for the rest of season 3, demonstrating that Konstantin will not hesitate to kill, unlike Milo, who seemed to prefer scheming and manipulation over flat-out murder.

Mayor of Kingstownis available to stream on Paramount+

Mike already had enough on his plate going in toMayor of Kingstownseason 3, including the emotional fall-out from his mother Mariam’s death. The last thing he needed was a new bad guy rolling into town, who has no qualms about killing anyone in his way. Dillon and Sheridan have seemingly found a way to make theirParamount+show even darker than it was before, by the arrival of Konstantin, who indeed looks to be a fascinating character.
