The platform fighting ofMultiVersusfeatures many different characters whose moves you can use to knock out opponents, including theLooney Tunesanti-hero Marvin the Martian and his intergalactic arsenal. Marvin thrives off spreading chaos through their many projectiles, controlling space, and making it hard for his rivals to retaliate. You can even modify and strengthen existing skills by unlocking his signature perks.
From multipleLooney Tunesshorts and theSpace Jammovies, Marvin the Martian has always been depicted as an alien with many gadgets and gizmos geared toward destruction. Unlike close-range brawler characters such asShaggy inMultiVersus, Marvin stays away from others while trying to activate various weapons. The unpredictable nature of Marvin’s tools can be hard for your opponents to anticipate during a fight.

MultiVersus Review: Back & Looking To Knock Out The Competition
MultiVersus is back with its full game launch, with many technical changes and updates that could help give it an edge against the competition.
All Marvin The Martian Moves
Unleash Every Sci-Fi Attack Marvin Has
Like many platform fighters, Marvin’smoves change depending on what directional buttons you press and whether the character is in the airduring a fight. Everyone hasspecial moves and basic attackswith Neutral, Side, Down, and Up versions inMultiVersus. It would help if you were careful as you move and jump around a stage to stay aware of what direction you are inputting and how it relates to the motion whose move you want to activate.
Marvin the Martian has a Passive ability in addition to his basic Attacks and Special Moves where he can walk while crouching, allowing you to avoid attacks while still retaining some mobility around a stage.

As shown in the video above by YouTube creatorNAKAT, many of Marvin’s moves revolve around projectiles. These long-range attacks can frequently be charged by holding down the button used to activate them, as long as you correctly start the move using the right directional input. Changing the time you release a charged move makes it harder for your opponent toparry inMultiVersus' frantic combat.
Air
Neutral Attack
(Acme Bubble Blaster) Marvin charges, aims, and fires a bubble projectile that bursts directly in front of him. When fully charged, the bubble will slowly travel in the direction fired. If an ally projectile collides with the bubble it will be suspended inside, unable to hit anything until the bubble expires. Enemy projectiles will be reflected. Cooldown applies for a fully charged bubble.
(Acme Bubble Blaster) Same as Ground.
Up Attack
(Shoot The Moon) Marvin charges and aims a blaster projectile upward.
(Shoot The Moon) Similar to the Ground, but Marvin cannot aim the direction.

Down Attack
(A-1 Disintegrating Pistol) Marvin fires a beam from his disintegration pistol in front of him that hits fighters and projectiles. Holding the input keeps the beam active, but Marvin will begin to take damage.
(A-1 Disintegrating Pistol) Similar to the Ground, but Marvin shoots downward and the beam’s length decreases over time.

Side Attack
(Martian Arts Training) Marvin delivers a combo with a punch and kick, ending in an arching blaster projectile.
Neutral Special
(K-62 Projectile Modulator) Marvin slams a big red button, hitting enemies, then reverses the horizontal direction of all allied projectiles. On cooldown, projectiles are neither paused nor reversed.
(K-62 Projectile Modulator) Same as Ground.
Up Special
(To Me, My Glorious Ship!) Marvin shoots upward playing his trumpet and summons his spaceship from above. The spaceship acts as a platform. After being summoned, the spaceship will load and fire a powerful rocket heavy projectile toward Marvin. Enemies can damage the spaceship to destroy it and prevent it from firing this rocket.
(To Me, My Glorious Ship!) Similar to Ground.
Down Special
(…In The Name of Mars!) Marvin charges and plants a flag in the ground, claiming it for Mars and sending the opponent skyward. Charging this move increases the size of the hit. The flag applies the"Targeted"condition to enemies, causing allied projectiles to home toward them. The flag remains planted, acting as a hazard and applying"Targeted"to enemies that pass by it.
(…In The Name of Mars!) Similar to Ground, but Marvin dashes downward before planting the flag on the ground. The flag will plant immediately when Marvin hits the ground.

Side Special
(Acme Space-Time Rifle) Marvin fires a projectile from his space-time rifle that will pull the first enemy it hits toward Marvin. Enemies will only be partially pulled to Marvin if he is too far away. Cooldown applies when this move finishes.
(Centurion Headbutt) Marvin headbutts forward. If he hits an enemy, he will knock them upward and pop up to follow them for combos.

Use Signature Perks To Make Attacks And Special Moves Stronger
Similarly to every returning andnew character toMultiVersus' roster, Marvin the Martian hasthree Signature Perksyou can unlock byleveling up the characterthrough various battles. Other characters like Reindog orRick inMultiVersusbenefit the most from Marvin’s various buffs to projectiles.
Marvin The Martian Combat Tips & Strategies
Stay Away From Enemies While Using Projectiles
Marvin the Martian is classified as an"Assassin"type character who specializes in speed, but many could argue that his long-range projectiles make him more akin to a"Mage"like Bugs Bunny or Gizmo. The complicated interactions with Marvin’s projectile manipulation make him a bit tricky to figure out amongMultiversus' cast. Those who enjoy"Zoning"characters from traditional fighting games will tend to find success with Marvin.
The best strategy to win with Marvin is tocreate space from your opponents and make it hard for them to move with projectiles. Moves like the Acme Bubble Blaster and Acme Space-Time Rifle can turn a stage into a minefield that your rival has to navigate to attack you. Even if your opponent tries to use their projectiles to combat Marvin’s, you’re able to easily alter their course to turn them against their source.
Remember that the Signature Perk K-62 Modulator Mark V can even make enemy projectiles larger and travel faster to damage your opponents during a fight.
Try todefend Marvin’s spaceshipwhen it has been summoned through the Martian’s Up Special move since the rocket it fires deals heavy damage. The extra platform created can be a great place to fire more projectiles, especially the A-1 Disintegrating Pistol before it damages you too much. In a 2v2 battle, it may be easier to defend the spaceship with an ally at your side keeping enemies at bay.
Don’t forget touse the debuffs provided by Marvin’s Down Special moveto always have the"Targeted"condition on as many opponents as you can inflict it upon. This will cause your enemies to have to avoid even more projectiles, which now hone in on them as they try to move around. Hopefully, they will be too busy trying to get out of the way of a projectile to notice you closing in for a charged attack that knocks them out.
New MultiVersus Characters: Every Confirmed & Leaked Fighter That Wasn’t In The Beta
The WB crossover platform fighter MultiVersus looks to be releasing with a few roster additions not in the beta, with more likely on the way.
How To Unlock Marvin The Martian In MultiVersus
Spend Resources To Add This Looney Tune To Your Roster
The only way to unlock Marvin the Martian is tospend 3,000 Gold, use one Character Token, or spend 700 Gleamiumas you are playing. Gold, the game’s basic currency, is earned through completing regular matches andToasting other players inMultiVersus. On the other hand, Gleamium is a premium currency you can get as a reward from the Battle Pass or through individual purchases with real-world money.
Character Tokens are single-use items that unlock one character, but they are only offered through package deals also offered for real-world money. The most cost-effective way to unlock Marvin is to grind Gold from matches against AI-controlled opponents set to an Easy difficulty, but this process may take some time. Online matches with the starting characters on your initial roster will farm more Gold to help you unlock Marvin.
Another way to unlock Marvin is byearning enough Prestige Points to unlock the characterthrough passive rewards. Obtaining cosmetic items through the free and premium versions of the Battle Pass will give you Prestige Points, which scale depending on the rarity of the item you get. The more rare a cosmetic item is, the more Points you will gain from collecting it among the random reward drops from level improvements.
You can take Prestige Points collected from the Battle Pass to the Prestige Store, wherethe Fighter Shop sells new characterssuch as Marvin the Martian. While you can also spend Gleamium here, Prestige Points are easier to gather than the premium currency. Alongside Marvin, you can also purchase other cosmetic items here inMultiVersuslike variant skins, Taunts, Banners, Ring Outs, and so on.
