That has since changed, though, thanks to new information from the franchise.

In a series of posts byStar Warson social media, the franchise revealed several posters and profiles forThe Acolyte’s main characters, including Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae), Master Indara (Carrie-Anne Moss), Mae (Amandla Stenberg), Master Kelnacca (Joonas Suotamo), and Jecki Lon (Dafne Keen). The posters provide great, up-close views of the central figures in the show, and particularly their blue and green lightsabers. Meanwhile, the profiles give some great insight into the show’s characters, and how they relate to each other.

Everything You Need To Know Before Watching Star Wars: The Acolyte

Star Wars' next TV show, The Acolyte, will come to Disney+ on June 4. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of this epic Star Wars series.

Sol

Master Sol is one of the most prominent Jedi inThe Acolyte, and his character profile gives a deeper insight into why that is the case. As the post explains, Sol seems to balance skill in both lightsaber combat and strength in the Force, which would make him a very well-rounded Jedi.Interestingly, it seems that he doesn’t completely embody balance, as his profile states Sol has to actively keep his emotions in check, which is unusual for a Jedi Master.

Master Sol is a wise, highly respected, powerful Jedi Master, strong in the ways of the Force, who is going through emotional conflict.

Indara

Indara’s profile seems to suggest that while she’s similar to Sol in many ways, there’s a key difference. The post indicates that Indara favors her strength in the Force more than her skill with a lightsaber, which is supported by many ofThe Acolyte’s trailers. It also hints that Indara’s skill with the Force has given her much more command over her emotions than Sol has, which could be a key factor in how the two Masters interact with each other.

Master Indara is a Jedi Master of great physical and mental skill. Little has been revealed of her role to date.

Mae

Mae has been one ofThe Acolyte’s most mysterious characters ever since the show was announced, and her character profile offers little insight into that mystery. The post is noticeably vague about Mae’s backstory, referring to it only as “tragic” and it only makes general mention of her revenge quest and “those who wronged her.“While her profile may not clear up whether Mae sides with the light or dark sides of the Force, it does make it clear that she won’t stop until she completes her quest.

The former Padawan of Jedi Master Sol, Mae gets swept up into a sinister mystery—one that puts her into the center of a conflict in unexpected ways.

Kelnacca

Kelnacca’s character profile confirms a key part of his character: that he was a loner. It also makes mention that Kelnacca “sequestered himself in the tangled jungles of Khofar,” which opens up quite a few interesting possibilities for his story. It’s currently unclear how Kelnacca fits intoThe Acolyte’s larger story, or whether he’ll be forced to overcome his solitary ways, but it should be interesting to see how he develops. Another interesting aspect of Kelnacca’s poster is that he is the only Jedi who doesn’t have their lightsaber drawn of these five.

Kelnacca, a Wookiee Jedi, is a loner who lives a solitary life on a jungle world.

Jecki Lon

Jecki Lon is the only non-Master Jedi to receive a poster and profile, largely due to her age. As the post suggests, though, Jecki Lon seems to be very mature despite her youth.Interestingly, Jecki Lon seems to be much more in command of her emotions than her teacher, Sol, which should make them an interesting pairing. While Sol will take the traditional teacher role as her Master, it seems Jecki Lon may be able to pass on a few lessons to him as well.

Jecki is the Padawan apprentice to Master Sol. Although she is young, she projects calm and conducts herself with maturity.

One of the more subtle confirmationsStar Warsmade with these posters and profiles is that these five characters will be the core ofThe Acolyte. There are several other players in the show, from Mother Aniseya to theunidentified Sith Lord ofThe Acolyte, but they now seem to be secondary in favor of the five most interconnected characters. It should be interesting to see just how deep those connections run inThe Acolyte, and how they’ll inform each character’s actions.
