Summary
SinceStarfield’s launch last year, players have been expanding upon Bethesda’s vision with mods of belovedsci-fi franchises such asStar Wars,Firefly, and more. With the release of Bethesda’s official Creation Kit earlier this month, these mods have only increased as creators can use the studio’s engine and create their own custom content with the hope that it will be more supported than doing it via less official means.
Now, the world ofHalowill be coming toStarfield’s Settled Systems via the Creation system. Xbox Fans Seem Pleased With A Crossover Between Two Of Their Exclusive Titles
Thousands Have Already Downloaded The Halo Armors
While PC players have been able to run aroundStarfieldin Spartan armor since January, Xbox players seem pleased that they can finally cross over two of the platform’s exclusive titles. Despite there beingrumors thatHalowill come to PlayStationat some point as part of Microsoft’s recent multiplatform push,Master Chief has long been one of the main mascots for Xbox, and theHalofranchise is synonymous with the console family, despite having ports to PC as well over the years.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the port of Bonepunk’sHaloarmor mod has very quickly garnered attention within the Xbox community. As of the time of writing, the “Halo Spartan Armor Collection” has been viewed 26,380 times, bookmarked 2,459 times, and downloaded 16,683 times from Bethesda Creations.
Alongside the well-received fan mods, Bethesda also intends to flesh out the game with elements added through the Creation menu but has been heavily criticized for the release of its “The Vulture” mission. The Vulturecosts 700 Creation Credits, which alone is surprising enough for one mission as it equates to $7, but this is even more controversial asthe cheapest Creation Credits bundle option is 500 credits for $4.99, forcing players to purchase the 1000 credit package at $9.99 if they want to purchasethe mission.Understandably, players have been extremely vocal about such a practice, which has resulted in the game receiving asurge of negative reviews on PC, with it currently sitting at a “Mostly Negative” recent score on Steam and “Mixed” overall.

Starfield
Bethesda Game Studios presents Starfield - the first original IP from the studio in twenty-five-plus years. Set in the year 2310, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective are observing a shaky truce after a war set 20 years prior. The player will customize their character as a member of a space exploration team called Constellation while navigating The Settled Systems and the conflicts between the warring factions. According to Bethesda, players can explore over 100 systems and 1000 planets to find resources and build their ships, living out their own sci-fi journeys.
