Iconic characters such as the Daily Planet’s Perry White and Jimmy Olsen were introduced there as well. Even the Man of Steel’s fan-favorite team-ups with Batman and Robin were heard on the radio before appearing in the comics. Perhaps most surprising, though, is thatSuperman’sgreatest weakness—Kryptonite—originated from the radio series rather than the comics.
