In a viral rant, a Target employee revealed that she’s sick of people addressing her according to her name tag.

However, aTikTokerrecently took to the platform to share her views on the matter, claiming that having strangers know her name made her feel uncomfortable.

With over 400,000 views, the video went viral on the platform, with many quick to weigh in on the debate.
“My dad does this! I feel so bad for the workers, like I know they hate it,” one shared, agreeing with Morgan.
“I literally have my name covered with my badge and people still manage to figure my name out,” another shared.
However, some disagreed, arguing: “This mindset is so strange to me because I genuinely appreciate when customers would use my name. I feel like it’s a sign of respect, they see you more than just some random worker.”
One worker actively chose to hide their name tag, stating: “Be walkin into work everyday hearing ‘where’s your name tag’ and every single day I ‘left it on my dresser’.”
