A teaser trailer forThe Boysseason 4, episode 5 showsGen V’s Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips), Sam Riordan (Asa Germann), and Tek Knight (Derek Wilson) inside Vought Tower, confirming they will appear in episode 5. The trailer also references the Supe-killing virus that was introduced inGen V. Check out the trailer below:

Inside Vought Tower, Homelander speaks about doing terrible things to save the country from corruption. He addresses Cate and Sam, who are standing next to A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), while Tek Knight and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) stand in the background.
Will Cate Or Sam Join The Seven?
The Seven Still Has An Open Spot
Even with the additions of Sage and Firecracker (Valorie Curry), and an actor playing Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) after Homelander killed the original version of the Supe, the Seven is currently only comprised of six individuals. Homelander publicly teased that he is saving the final spot for his son, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti). While that may be the case,Ryan is too young, inexperienced, and untrained to join the Seven now, and leaving the spot open for too long makes the team more vulnerable.
When In The Boys The Seven Has Actually Had 7 Members
Despite their misleading name, The Seven have not actually had seven supes among their membership for most of the three seasons of The Boys.
With Cate and Sam beingrecognized by Vought as the new Guardians of Godolkin, and Homelander speaking directly to them in Vought Tower, there is a possibility that one of them could be granted the final spot in the Seven. At the very least, Homelander is personally giving the young Supes permission to commit horrific deeds in the name of combating corruption. While Cate and Sam may think they are liberated after thwarting attempts to control them at Godolkin University, they fail to recognize that they are now being manipulated again, only this time as part ofSage and Homelander’s long-term plan.

Ultimately,Cate or Samwill only be added to the Seven if it is beneficial to the plan Sage has concocted. Cate and Sam don’t need to be officially part of the Seven to continue down the path of becoming pawns for Homelander and Vought. The full extent of Cate and Sam’s powers when they go unchecked were shown inGen Vseason 1, and with Homelander enabling them to unleash those powers now, they are a formidable threat inThe Boysseason 4, and likely inGen Vseason 2 as well.
