Warzone leak reveals return of highly requested looting feature
Warzone is reportedly bringing back a feature that makes it easier to see what items come from an enemy or a loot box.
Raven Software has tinkered with several different looting mechanics to perfect the system. In 2022, Warzone 2 introduced abackpack systemthat forced players to enter a separate screen to loot everything besides weapons.

Fans slammed the feature because it was too easy for enemies to sneak up on them while they were looking at the backpack screen and trying to scroll through each item. In 2023, the devs didn’t remove backpacks entirely but hadloot drop to the floorand float over the ground, making it easier to parse through.
Black Ops 6 went one step further andscrapped backpacks entirely. Instead, there are simple inventory spaces that can be easily organized. While loot is no longer floating around, it’s directly on the ground, which can sometimes make it difficult to see everything.

That’s all set to change.

Floating loot is spread out and elevated, making it easier for players to pick what they want to take without wasting too much time.
Since backpacks are no longer a feature, players can loot enemies and crates while also keeping an eye on their surroundings.
