YouTuber apologizes for covering himself with baby oil after Diddy trial verdict
A YouTuber covering the Diddy trial has apologized after he was spotted covering himself with baby oil outside the courtroom where a verdict was reached.
On July 2, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs wasconvicted of two federal chargesrelated to prostitution but acquitted on three others, including racketeering and sex trafficking.
Following the verdict, supporters of the artist were spotted dousing themselves with baby oil – a nod to his infamous“freak-off” parties.
In the crowd outside the Manhattan federal court wasYouTuberArmon Wiggins, who was seen having baby oil applied to his back and shouting, “more!”

YouTuber responds to Diddy verdict baby oil stunt outside courthouse
Originally,Wigginsblasted critics and posts bringing up the baby oil controversy, labeling them “clickbait.”
“I been oiling up and doing funny reenactments for 2 months straight,” he captioned a video of himself squirting baby oil on his chest. “Click bait titles.”
However, that only prompted more backlash from commenters who claimed he was acting like a “fool.”
The YouTuber later issued a statement on Instagram where he reiterated that theviralbaby oil shenanigans were part of a joke with his viewers and had been misinterpreted.
“Yesterday, a clip of me outside the courthouse went viral and was taken out of context. What started as a lighthearted moment part of a long-running joke with my audience was misinterpreted as support for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. That was never my intention,” he said.
“For the past 60 days, I’ve worked hard to cover this case with honesty and objectivity. That moment was about sharing a bit of levity with the community that’s been on this journey with me, nothing more.”

Wiggins further acknowledged that the timing of the joke could have been better and may have been ‘especially harmful’ to victims of abuse.
“I sincerely apologize to anyone who was impacted or disappointed,” he added. “This has been a reminder to move with greater care, and I remain committed to doing this work with integrity and heart.”
The creator has no plans to stop his coverage of the Diddy trial. Combs is slated to remain in police custody until his sentencing, and each conviction carries up to 10 years in prison.
